The “UK and Ireland Natural History Bloggers” network is closing down

When I started this network about 15 years ago, my aim was to encourage more people to share their natural history observations on-line. At that time, there were just a handful of people blogging about natural history in the UK and Ireland.

Things have changed a lot over the years. These days many people regularly share their natural history observations via blogs, discussion groups, social media, etc. There are also several other networks promoting natural history on-line.

Due to family and work commitments, I haven’t been able to spend much time on administration and promotion over the past year or so. To make matters worse, a recent hardware failure means that I am having difficulty in accessing the network’s correspondence and archives.

I have decided to call it a day. I will be closing the network down at the end of September 2017. If anyone is interested in taking it over, please leave a comment below.

Thanks,
